Catamarans offer fast exciting sailing. They are great when used for racing. Due to their speed and stability they make great family boats for trips or just having some craic.

What is it about?
Catamarans are small open sailing boats with two narrow hulls.  They are perfect for day sailing, having fun and racing.  There are relativley few sailing clubs and Training Centres using catamarans in Ireland making them a bit of a speciality.

Try it out
The “Taste of Sailing” Course run by many ISA Training Centres provides the perfect way to get into a catamaran and go sailing for the first time.

What you will need?
The ISA Training centre where you do your course will provide all of the equipment you need.  Swimming togs and a willingness to have a go is usually all that is needed. 

Find a club
Joining a club is a great way to meet people you enjoy doing the same things as you.
