Beacause of their size and accomodation sailing yachts offer huge flexibility. Overnight trips, whole holidays as well as competitive racing are all possible with friends and family. 

What is it about?
Sailing yachts are sailing boats with accomodation.  This means that you can eat and sleep on board as well as fit in loads of friends & family.  Their larger size means ownership is a bigger comitment however due to their size people are always looking for crew to help sail the boats.

The "Competent Crew" Course offered in ISA Training Centres provides the perfect way to get out on a yacht and go sailing for the first time.

What you will need?
The ISA Training Centre where you do your course will provide all of the equipment you need.  A few warm layers, a sun hat and a willingness to get stuck in is usually all that is needed. 

Find a club
Joining a club is a great way to meet people you enjoy doing the same things as you. Your local sailing club will provide the perfect place to get out on the water as crew, practice your new skills and of course take part in all the social activities.  Many clubs will activley asssist members to find crewing places. Click here for a list of Training Courses.
