What is Cruiser sailing?
Sailing yachts are sailing boats with accommodation. This means that you can eat and sleep on board as well as fit in loads of friends & family. Because of their size and accommodation sailing yachts offer huge flexibility. Overnight trips, whole holidays as well as competitive racing are all possible with friends and family
Why do an ISA training course?
An ISA training course provides the ideal way to get afloat for the first time, or to build on skills you already have. All courses are run to a syllabus used all over Ireland and will be lead by a trained and qualified ISA Instructor. Each course is carefully designed to provide you with all of the skills and confidence you need to get you out on the water and to get the most out of your boating.
Where to do your ISA training course?
ISA Training Centres have all gone through a rigorous accreditation process to ensure that they provide high quality training in a safe environment. With Training Centres based in every corner of Ireland there are plenty to choose from for training close to home or while on holiday.
Sea based Training
These courses are run at sea on board a cruising yacht.

-Day Skipper
-Yachtmaster Coastal (course attendence certificate)
Shorebased Training
These courses are run ashore and allow you develop many of the skills you will need when you go afloat in the relative comfort of a classroom.

Yachtmaster Certificate
When you think that you have mastered the required skills and knowlege you should apply to the ISA to take your assesment for Yachtmaster Coastal, Offshore or Ocean.
