Tralee Bay Sailing Club to Host Exciting 'Women at the Helm' Event

Tralee Bay Sailing Club is proud to announce its upcoming 'Women at the Helm' sailing event, scheduled for July 20th. This special event aims to celebrate and empower female sailors, promoting inclusivity and encouraging more women to get involved in our sport and Take the Helm!
Event Details
First gun: 12:00
Race Schedule: three races.
There will be a female PRO for the day
The last race will finish at the pier, providing a perfect vantage point for spectators to cheer on the sailors as they come in. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the local community to get involved in this fun event!
Supporting Women in Sailing
After the races, the festivities will continue with a midsummer party at Tralee Bay Sailing Club. The party will serve not only as a celebration of the day's achievements but also as a fundraising event. All proceeds from the party will go toward acquiring a 420 dinghy, specifically targeting female dinghy sailors aged between 12 and 18. The goal is to provide these young sailors with the resources and support they need to stay engaged in the sport, fostering a lifelong passion for sailing.
