This year’s Three Bridges Rally, organised by the Cruising Association of Ireland, will take place on Saturday 7 September. Boats will muster at the Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club Marina before parading up and down the Liffey at 14:00. The Tom Clarke (East Link) bridge will open again at 17:00 to let the Dublin Bay 21s return to Dun Laoghaire. The night will be spent rafted on the Liffey Pontoon beside the 3Arena. In the morning the flotilla will leave with the St Bridget (Dublin Bay Cruises) at 11:00.
Participants will be hosted ashore by the Clayton Hotel, where the Association will have the use of the Vertigo room for the evening. There will be a three-course carvery dinner followed by a raffle and some informal entertainment. If you can’t sail, you can still join for the evening festivities!
Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club has kindly offered to waive all berthing charges and host a social event on Friday evening. Come early and make a weekend of it!
Atlantic Youth Trust sail training ship LEADER will be part of the fleet, and a reception for CAI members will be held aboard on Saturday after the parade.
Download and read the detailed Briefing Notes – a PDF document giving details of all the arrangements. If you think you might attend, with or without a boat, then submit a provisional booking (below) as soon as possible.
