Now that the summer season is drawing to a close, it is time to focus on our upcoming Irish Sailing Race Official & Race Management Conference which will take place in early November and detail here highlights how to secure your place should you wish to do so.
There is a top-class line up of speakers, covering all aspects of race management. The objective is to ensure that the attendees are kept uptodate with best practice in an ever-changing environment. The content will also be of particular interest for club officials who currently oversee sailing event management in all its guises.
The finer detail regarding the 2024 Race Officials & Race Management Conference:
Date: Saturday 9th November 2024
Venue: Galway Bay Sailing Club, (located to the South of Galway city - gbsc.ie).
Time: 10am to 5pm. (finalised agenda for the day will follow closer to the time).
A Networking Conference Dinner is optional for attendees and is scheduled to take place in the Oranmore Lodge Hotel at 7.30pm.

This group will act as a Notice board for the Race Officials Conference 2024 AND for all Irish Sailing race official notices into the future.
Reason is that the current Race Official ‘Whats App’ Group may have a number of people included but without their formal consent (despite best intentions) – This New Telegram group will standardise the process and will have a paper trail highlighting people who joined / left the group of their own free will. This will avoid any potential privacy issues into the future. In addition, whatever stage an individual joins the Telegram group, they can retrospectively view content of interest on this platform. This is not currently possible with Whats App.
