Chris Bateman and Lucy Loughton win the B14 World Championship🏆
The recent B14 World Championship's were hosted in Woolhara SC in Sydney, Australia from the 1st - 10th of January. Representing Ireland and Monkstown Bay Sailing Club they become the first mixed crew to ever win and also the first non GBR & non AUS boat to win this prestigious title.
Irish Sailing wish to extend a huge congratulations to both Chris and Lucy for winning their first world title in impressive style with 6 bullets leaving a wide margin between them and second place. Joining them on the podium was multiple time world champions Nick Craig & Toby Lewis from Great Britian and Craig Garmston & Paul Fleming from Australia.
Chris comments that "it was a fantastic event with all sorts of weather, very challenging and we reaped the rewards! We'd like to thank Woolhara YC for their warm welcome and great hospitality throughout the event."
