Master Class on Team Racing Coaching Techniques
Baltimore Sailing Club opened its doors last Saturday to accommodate a ‘Coach the Coaches’ clinic on Team racing techniques.
The hugely experienced Dave Harte was on hand to deliver a very detailed and informative content to the twenty six attendees, many of them travelling from distant parts to learn and improve their skills. The morning session gave a good overview of ‘what good looks like’ around organising effective Team Racing, while the afternoon session focused on the rules of Team Racing; An area that is fundamental to fair and impartial racing for all competitors.
Special thanks to Dave Harte for facilitating this fantastic course and we hope to see more in the future as team racing continues to grow in popularity across the Country and across every age group. Thank you also to Clinton Copthorne from Schull Harbour Sailing Club for organising this event and ensuring that it was open to all individuals who were eager to upskill.
